Players Interviewed

Hall of Fame Stories

I had the pleasure of interviewing 36 former professional baseball players for this project. These players told me many fantastic stories of their childhood growing up playing youth baseball and even some stories from their professional careers. The stories you will read are the player’s stories, taken directly from our recorded interviews. Players covered topics ranging from family support, game memories, coaches, pick-up games, baseball cards, equipment, their baseball heroes, nicknames, and much more.

Just Like Me: When the Pros Played on the Sandlot is a series of two books. The players I interviewed played in the Major Leagues, Minor Leagues, Negro Leagues, and the All American Girls Professional Baseball League.
